Biography

Saul Berman (1899–1972) was an American painter born in Russia. He moved to New York as a child and studied at the Educational Alliance Art School, where he shared a studio with fellow student Moses Soyer. Additionally, he studied at the National Academy of New York and later with Charles Hawthorne, the founder of the Cape Cod School of Art.
