Franz Walter Bergmann (1898–1977) was an American painter, muralist, and enamellist who made his mark in California. Born on August 6, 1898, in Dimling, Austria, he studied at the Vienna National Academy of Art before immigrating to the U.S., where he worked in New York and Chicago and later settled in San Francisco in 1929.
