Elisabeth Spalding (1868–1954) was an American painter born in Erie, Pennsylvania. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1874 due to her father's appointment as a church bishop. She studied art at the Cooper Institute with Julian Alden Weir and held her first exhibition in Philadelphia in 1892. Spalding also taught at Wolfe Hall, a female academy in Denver, before traveling to Paris at the turn of the 20th century.
