Charles E. Barnes (1915–2005) was an American painter born in Chicago on November 10, 1915. He studied at various institutions, including the Herron School of Art, the Santa Monica School of Design, and the School of Modern Photography. Barnes' work includes southwestern desert mesa landscape paintings, such as 'Guadalupe River' and 'Pedernal Pass, New Mexico', which feature gouache / watercolor / mixed media on paper with artist signature.
