Alfred H. Holbrook (1874–1974) was an American painter, writer, and lecturer. He worked as a museum director and advocate for art, making excellent decisions in his capacity as a young collector. At 70, he was still collecting paintings, stating that he had 'taken one swig at the fount of art appreciation' and continued to collect for over 40 years.
